Good Day Friends,
Well, here we are at March 1st. It is just one year ago that our whole world changed seemingly overnight. What a challenging batch of changes we have seen since then. As with many small businesses Just Julie Organizing has gone through what I can only describe as an overwhelming year. Due to these mounting challenges and changes I have Big News to announce today.
Before I jump right into that I wish to take a moment here to say thank-you. Thank you to my Clients, past, present and perhaps future, my faithful Facebook followers and my dear family and friends for your support and kindness for the past 5 years. 5 short years ago this spring I came up with the harebrained idea to start an organizing business, most thought I was crazy, but my husband supported my venture and let me give it a whirl. My first year I had 15 clients, and each year following I had unprecedented growth. For that I am truly grateful. January 2020 was measuring up to to be a record breaking year for me. While on vacation in February I made the decision to hire and train 2 additional employees and expand my business model.
Then came March and COVID-19 and everything came to a screeching halt!!!!
During the month of April the world stood still but by May 1st businesses where starting to reopen. As a “mover” as many organizers are classified I could have returned to Organizing as an “essential worker”, but would it be safe? Could I keep myself, my clients, my future employees and all of our families safe from this invisible enemy? Was it worth the risk? I decided it was not and decided to quit organizing …..
But…. (And this is a big one) the requests kept coming. Clients continued to contact me. Old clients wanting me back, and new clients wanting to use their time at home to work on organizing their spaces. I tried referring them to other organizers (there aren’t many of us in my area) however most of them opted to wait it out with me. I could see waiting 6-8weeks, 6 months… maybe, but years???? I couldn’t do that!!!
I realize what a hurdle it is for most of my clients to make the call and ask me for help. They have struggled for years trying to do it all alone, they are frustrated, embarrassed and many times desperate. I started offering Virtual Options.
Now, I had worked online with clients before with some success but I wouldn’t say I was seasoned, more like a rookie. The clients I worked with through out the summer were happy with the results and the process. When I realized that Covid was going to be around for a while I wanted to be sure I was offering not only a productive service but also one with a measure of professionalism.
I called a few of my organizing buddies who have been offering virtual service for many years and found out what they were doing…. What apps were they using, how did they interact with their clients etc.. For the past few months I have spent hours in online classes and sat through more app tutorials than I care to mention. I have redesigned my own website, and upgraded several existing accounts to allow for a more personal interaction with my clients virtually.
So after an entire year of brainstorming, studying, sweating and fretting….
I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE:

OH MY GOODNESS!! There It Is, I’ve Done It!!!
I AM SO EXCITED!!!! CAN YOU TELL!!!!!
This is going to be wonderful for so many reasons but here are just 4
1. I can work with more clients! I will have the option to work with multiple clients each day
2. This will open up more flexible scheduling. In the past I organized two days a week, now I will have availability on evenings and weekends
3. I can work with clients from an expanded area. No more travel/distance restriction I can work with clients all over the country and no cancellations for bad weather OR global pandemic!
4. I can focus more on teaching my clients the principles and methods of organizing as opposed to just doing it for them!
